The history of
the Shiamas Group can be traced back to the founding of
its mother company - the Shiatos Limited - in 1975.
Shiatos was one of the first to introduce prestigious
European brands to Hong Kong. It became the local sole
agent of renowned French crystal brands Lalique and
Baccarat, and in the same year, it opened its first
boutique at Peninsula Hotel. Shiatos grew rapidly in the
1980s, and its success prompted other international
luxury brands to offer Shiatos their agent contracts,
including French jeweler Van Cleef & Arpels, HERMÈS
porcelain, Bernardaud porcelain and other leading
apparel brands. In the 1990s, Shiamas Limited was
established to focus on the designer apparel market in
Hong Kong, and spin-off companies of both Shiatos and
Shiamas were also set up in Taiwan, as more sole agent
contracts were secured from well-known French, German,
Italian, Japanese and American brands. From 2006 to
2011, Exclusivites, the Hong Kong's renowned retailer of
luxury lifestyle brands, managed by the Shiamas Group,
has run its spectacular flagship store in Central,
boasting five floors of prestigious home accessories.
Today, Shiamas has taken over the
trading operations of all the luxury brands within
the group. Together with its associated companies,
it owns, manages and distributes more than 20 brands
of lifestyle essentials ranging from crystals,
porcelain, wine wares, art collectibles to jewelry,
hair accessories and tea; including Exclusivites,
Lalique, Alexandre Zouari Paris, 4C and Fook Ming
Tong Shop. Shiamas operates more than 50 retail
outlets throughout Hong Kong, Taiwan, Mainland China
and South East Asia, and it has also entered the
field of wholesaling, hotel amenities supply and
food and beverage consultancy in recent years.
Shiamas will continue to bring in
the finest lifestyle and gourmet products for local
customers, fulfilling its long established role of
introducing both eastern and western fine culture
and newest lifestyle trend to Hong Kong and other
Asian cities. |
