The history of the Shiamas Group can be traced back to the founding of its mother company – the Shiatos Limited – in 1975. Shiatos was one of the first companies to introduce prestigious European brands to Hong Kong, starting with the sole distributorship of renowned French crystal brands Lalique and Baccarat. The same year saw the opening of Shiatos’ first boutique at the Peninsula Hotel. After that, Shiatos grew rapidly in the 1980s. Its success attracted other international luxury brands to offer the company their agency agreements, including French jeweler Van Cleef & Arpels, Hermès porcelain, Bernardaud porcelain and other leading brands that are globally renowned today. In the 1990s, Shiamas Limited was established to focus on the designer apparel market in Hong Kong, and spin-off companies of both Shiatos and Shiamas were also set up in Taiwan, as more sole agent contracts were secured from well-known French, German, Italian, Japanese and American brands.

Shiatos operates directly through its subsidiaries and joint ventures, with more than 60 retail outlets span across Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mainland China. Shiatos owns, manages, and distributes more than 30 brands of lifestyle essentials ranging from crystals, porcelain, wine wares, art collectibles to jewelry, hair accessories and tea products; all defined by quality, style, prestige and artistic value.
